Biography  

I live near, work in and am surrounded by world renowned National and Provincial Parks and by many resorts in Western Canada.  I photograph landscapes, nature and some sports in the Canadian Rockies, and beyond. Many all season images are available for purchase here in my online print gallery as archival prints for personal wall decor.

Initially,  my career began with my capturing the excitement of many different winter sports for advertising, magazine and resort use. Specifically my passion for alpine skiing and racing directed my work, but the subjects have also evolved to include:

• Alpine skiing and racing, cross country and biathlon skiing and racing, snowboarding, mountain biking, mountaineering, backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking and  non-mountain sports.
       
• Outdoor fashion photography. I have a lot on location experience with sport and street fashion photography for editorial and commercial clients. This includes both posed portraits and fast action and I've worked in all sorts of conditions, such as the worst winter weather that mountains can throw at you, and all the while still making successful images for my clients. 
       
• I am also fortunate to have photographed at many different professional competitive events, including: World Cup Alpine Ski Racing, World Cup XC and Biathlon Ski Racing, NHL Hockey and Stanley Cup Playoffs, the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, the Commonwealth Games track and field events in Victoria, B.C., CFL Football, and a few other professional  sports, indoors and out.
  
  Over my career, I have supplied high quality images to a wide variety of advertising, editorial and corporate clients via assignment and stock photography. A selection of my stock images are also available through Masterfile stock photo agency. Some of the images on this website are available for license through Masterfile, All Canada Photos and Alamy agencies  for commercial and editorial usages that are beyond the use of personal wall decor from this print gallery.
